
Joy Mathew (born 20 September 1961) is an Indian actor, director, playwright, and screenwriter, primarily known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He gained recognition for his performances and contributions to film and theatre. In 2012, he won the Silver Crow Pheasant Award for Best Feature Film (Audience Prize) at the International Film Festival of Kerala for Shutter. He received a Special Mention for acting at the Kerala State Film Awards in 2015 for Mohavalayam. In 2018, Joy Mathew earned the Kerala State Film Award for Best Story for his work on Uncle.
